The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Mumbai Port Authority to introduce solar power solutions throughout port facilities in Mumbai.

The agreement was officially signed in Mumbai by Shri Manas Ranjan Mishra, Deputy General Manager for SECI, and Shri K. Ramesh, Chief Mechanical Engineer for the Mumbai Port Authority, underscoring both organisations’ joint dedication to building more sustainable and energy-efficient public infrastructure.

Under this collaboration, solar energy systems will be installed across various port premises to help reduce dependence on traditional electricity sources and support cleaner, greener operations.

This initiative supports SECI’s broader goal of fast-tracking clean energy adoption across key sectors, including maritime and logistics, and contributes to India’s larger environmental and decarbonisation objectives by extending renewable energy use to high-consumption public assets.
