Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), has signed its annual performance-based Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MNRE for the financial year 2026-27, setting a revenue from operations target of ₹24,000 crore.
The MoU was signed by Shri Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary, MNRE, and Shri Joshit Sikidar, Director (Finance), SECI, at Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan in New Delhi, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.
Under the agreement, SECI will be assessed against key performance parameters covering renewable energy trading, administrative ministry priorities, capital expenditure, project execution, and return on net worth, alongside its revenue target.
The performance-based MoU establishes the financial and operational objectives for SECI during FY 2026-27 and aligns the organisation’s activities with the government’s broader renewable energy development priorities.
Commenting on the agreement, Shri Joshit Sikidar, Director (Finance), SECI, expressed confidence in the company’s growth trajectory and reiterated its commitment to strengthening India’s renewable energy sector.
He said SECI would build on its strong performance record while continuing to play a leading role in renewable energy development. He also highlighted the organisation’s intention to expand its presence in new and emerging areas, alongside its core activities, to support India’s clean energy transition.
The agreement comes as SECI continues to contribute to India’s renewable energy ecosystem through its activities in renewable energy trading and project development. The FY 2026-27 targets will guide its financial performance and operational priorities over the coming year.
