Smartgrid Analytics Launches Solvyn AURA, Targets 200 GW Renewable Capacity

Smartgrid Analytics, a renewable energy technology company building the intelligence layer for the renewable energy industry, has announced plans to serve more than 200 GW of renewable energy project capacity in India over the next five years. The company launched Solvyn AURA, its indigenous AI-powered decision and revenue intelligence platform for renewable energy and battery storage, at Renewable Energy India Expo 2026.

Shri Manu Srivastava, IAS, Government of Madhya Pradesh, launched Solvyn AURA at the Smartgrid Analytics booth during the expo, marking a milestone in the company’s development of indigenous renewable energy technology.

Smartgrid Analytics also signed an agreement with BluPine Energy and other major IPPs to deploy Solvyn AURA for 1 GWh in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Rajasthan. This brings renewable generation, firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) commitments, battery intelligence and power-market decision support into a unified optimisation platform. The deployment is designed to help BluPine Energy make smarter dispatch decisions, strengthen FDRE delivery planning and identify opportunities to increase revenue, improve profitability and create greater asset value.

AURA will support scheduling and dispatch optimisation, battery charge and discharge recommendations, FDRE contract management and compliance reporting, alongside decision support for the Day-Ahead Market (DAM), Real-Time Market (RTM) and Green Day-Ahead Market (GDAM).

The deployment will also support revenue optimisation, arbitrage and deviation-exposure analysis. Unified dashboards and audit trails will give BluPine Energy’s teams clearer operational visibility, supporting better-informed decisions, stronger delivery preparedness and lower exposure to deviation and penalty charges. The partnership envisages progressive deployment across a portfolio exceeding 1 GWh, with phased onboarding aligned with project commissioning schedules and subject to mutual agreement.

Venkata Krishnan, Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer, Smartgrid Analytics, said, “At REI 2026, we are proud to have launched Solvyn AURA-our next-generation decision and revenue intelligence platform built for renewable energy and storage operations. We already have contracts for firm and dispatchable renewable energy projects across Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Rajasthan, where AURA is deployed to enable more intelligent plant operations. We thank Mr Neerav Nanavaty, Mr Kapil Kumar and the BluPine Energy team for their trust and collaboration as we take this partnership forward. As an IP-led company, we are focused on building indigenous technology that solves real operational challenges, and AURA is a major step forward in taking Indian-built intelligence to operators in India and across global markets.”

India ranks third globally in installed renewable energy capacity and is working towards 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2070. As renewable portfolios grow, operators increasingly need to connect generation forecasts, storage constraints, market opportunities and delivery commitments within a coordinated operational plan.

India’s energy storage requirements are projected to reach approximately 888 GWh by 2035–36, according to discussions reported by the India Energy Storage Alliance. Separately, Union Power Minister Manohar Lal has projected that peak electricity demand could reach around 300 GW in 2027. These developments underline the growing need for coordinated generation, storage and dispatch decisions.

Going beyond monitoring, Solvyn AURA brings together plant data, generation forecasts, market signals and asset performance information to help operators decide when to charge, when to dispatch and how much energy to commit, while accounting for asset operating limits. Integration with energy management systems supports the execution of plans within configured asset limits and control permissions.

The platform’s capabilities include digital twins for asset modelling, constraint modelling, multi-objective optimisation and scenario simulation. Integration with plant monitoring and control systems, battery management and power conversion systems, forecasting services and market data supports day-ahead and intraday scheduling and battery dispatch planning.

AURA is designed to support operational planning within applicable regulatory, contractual and technical constraints, helping operators evaluate options and make informed decisions about asset performance and revenue opportunities.

Smartgrid Analytics is also pursuing international growth, with the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Australia and the United States among its priority markets. Its solutions address grid integration, plant automation and energy management requirements across solar, wind, hybrid and battery storage projects. Smartgrid Analytics acknowledges Shubhanki Garg, Shanker Pathe, Abhilash Chandra and Bhavesh Gavari for their collaboration in bringing this partnership together.
