During SNEC International Solar & Smart Energy Exhibition, TÜV SÜD officially handed over Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) to Solis for its Sixth Generation 80–125kW, Commercial Inverter series: S6-GC(80–125)K. This, alongside the recent publication of Solis’ 2024 ESG report and its listing with EcoVadis, marks a continued and proactive commitment to sustainability.

Mr. Xu Hailiang, Vice President of TÜV SÜD Smart Energy, officially presented the certificates to Mr. Sandy Woodward, General Manager of Europe.

EPDs are developed based on international standards ISO 14025 and EN 15804 and provide a comprehensive assessment of a product’s environmental impact across its full lifecycle—from raw material extraction and production, through to distribution, usage, and end-of-life recycling and disposal. By disclosing quantified environmental impact information, EPDs help buyers and users make informed and sustainable procurement decisions on products and brands.

Commenting on the certification Woodward said “It’s imperative in today’s fast-moving and competitive energy landscape that we are transparent about our manufacturing and supply chains. Solis is committed to supporting its customers across Europe and being able to provide EPD certificates is just one of the ways we demonstrate our core belief in ethical sourcing and sustainability”.

The availability of EPD certificates forms part of Solis’ wider strategy for sustainability and corporate transparency. The recent publication of its 2024 Corporate ESG Report further reinforces the company’s focus on Environmental, Social, and Governance performance at all levels of the business. Solis continues to seek breakthroughs in the field of new energy technology innovation, driven by the belief that technology is our vehicle to navigate towards a green energy future.

As of November 2024, Solis has been awarded “Committed” status by EcoVadis, recognising its strong performance across key sustainability criteria. EcoVadis is one of the world’s most trusted platforms for assessing corporate sustainability, providing independent ratings across environmental practices, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Established in France in 2007, EcoVadis has evolved into the world’s leading and most trusted provider of corporate sustainability ratings.
