Tata Power Renewables kicks off its ‘Scale Sustainably’ rooftop solar campaign in Raipur, aiming at C&I sector adoption.

Tata Power Renewables, a player in India’s renewable energy landscape and a subsidiary of Tata Power, has launched its latest initiative – ‘Scale Sustainably with Tata Power’ – in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

The campaign aims to drive faster rooftop solar adoption among commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers, particularly across the energy-intensive sectors viz steel, cement, power, aluminium, and mining.

Through this campaign, Tata Power Solaroof-a division of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) and India’s most trusted rooftop solar solutions provider for over a decade-will deliver clean, cost-efficient, and reliable solar energy solutions to the state’s industries.

Chhattisgarh, emerging as one of India’s key industrial hubs, is witnessing growing demand for renewable energy through rooftop, group-captive, and open-access models. This initiative is designed to support owner-operated businesses and Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO) customers with load requirements above 1 MW (1000 kW), enabling them to transition smoothly to sustainable power.

Under the campaign, customers will enjoy attractive financing options, including interest rates starting at just 7.35%, zero processing fees, and Collateral-free loans.

The company’s end-to-end service model-from customized panel selection to premium-quality installation and maintenance-ensures a seamless, hassle-free experience for every customer. Tata Power Solaroof delivers a competitive advantage to industries by combining engineering excellence, innovative design, and high-performance systems. The company’s advanced rooftop solar solutions ensure maximum power generation, faster payback, and improved operational profitability-making it a future-ready partner for energy-intensive sectors.

Tata Power Solaroof provides – 25-year warranty on solar modules; Industry-leading quality assurance; Dedicated sales and service network across key Chhattisgarh cities; Responsive after-sales support; Comprehensive insurance coverage for rooftop installations.

With Chhattisgarh positioned as a vital industrial growth centre, ‘Scale Sustainably with Tata Power’ aims to accelerate the state’s clean energy transition through strategic partnerships, knowledge-sharing sessions, and customer engagement programs with a strong network of Channel Partners across key cities in the State.

Supportive policy reforms in Chhattisgarh are helping accelerate the adoption of renewable energy by reducing regulatory barriers, simplifying tariff structures, and aligning with the Green Energy Open Access (GEOA) framework. These policy enhancements are encouraging large-scale clean energy adoption by industrial and commercial consumers.

With clear guidelines now established for tariff determination and technology eligibility-including solar PV, floating solar, and rooftop systems-corporates and developers can plan and structure renewable projects with greater confidence and efficiency.

Tata Power Solaroof continues to lead India’s rooftop solar segment. Backed by 35 years of experience and a presence across diverse infrastructure types-GI sheet, RCC, carports, solar trees, façades, elevated GI, ground-mounted, and floating systems-the company offers tailor-made solutions for each client’s operational needs.

Serving over 2.5 Lakhs customers nationwide, Tata Power Solaroof is known for its quality, reliability, and safety-first execution standards, setting benchmarks in India’s clean energy transition.  At the national level, TPREL has achieved a cumulative rooftop solar capacity of 3.6 GWp – comprising 3 GWp in the C&I segment and 600 MWp in residential rooftops. In FY 2025–26 alone, it completed 3,778 C&I installations (254 MWp) and over 1 lakh residential installations (385 MWp) across India. Over the next three years, it targets adding 10 GWp of rooftop solar capacity nationwide.

In Chhattisgarh, as of August 2025, it has achieved a cumulative rooftop solar capacity of 252 MWp – 234 MWp in the C&I segment and 18 MWp in the residential segment – serving around 3,275 customers. In FY 2025–26 alone, the company has added 20 MWp across 81 C&I installations and 10 MWp across 2,607 residential systems. Over the next three years, it aims to add 500 MWp of rooftop solar capacity in the State.
