At Renewable Energy Expo 2026 in Greater Noida, Sunora Solar presented its latest technologies, Energy Storage Solutions, and future expansion plans. Under the theme (SESS) “SUNORA: ENERGY STORAGE, SOLUTION,” the company showcased its commitment to innovation in clean energy and advanced energy storage technologies.
Sunora Solar has established a manufacturing facility for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in the Kosamba region of Surat district, Gujarat. Through this facility, the company aims to provide energy storage solutions for residential, industrial, commercial, and utility-scale applications.
A Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is an advanced technology that stores electricity in batteries for use when required. Excess electricity generated by solar panels during the daytime can be stored in batteries and utilised at night, during periods of peak electricity demand, or when grid supply is interrupted. Such capabilities depend on the system’s capacity, design, and configuration.
The key components of a BESS include the Battery Bank, Power Conversion System (PCS), Battery Management System (BMS), and Energy Management System (EMS). These components play vital roles in energy storage, power conversion, battery monitoring, and efficient energy management.
As part of its future expansion strategy, Sunora Solar has set a target of increasing its total battery energy storage capacity to 6 gigawatt-hours (GWh). The initiative aims to contribute to meeting India’s growing demand for renewable energy and energy storage solutions while further strengthening the company’s presence in this sector.
As another key initiative, the company also showcased a new initiative/product at REI Expo 2026.
These initiatives by Sunora Solar represent an important step towards integrating energy storage solutions with solar power and addressing the electricity requirements of various sectors. Through advanced technologies and energy management solutions, the company aims to contribute to India’s clean and sustainable energy future.
