Verdant Energy is proud to announce the successful acquisition of an 11 MW rooftop solar portfolio in Vietnam, marking a significant milestone in the company’s strategic expansion across Southeast Asia’s renewable energy landscape.
The newly acquired portfolio comprises solar installations across 10 commercial shopping malls, supplying clean energy directly to Central Retail’s operations. With a total installed capacity of 11 MW, these systems are expected to generate over 11,700 megawatt-hours (MWh) of renewable electricity annually, helping to avoid approximately 8,100 tons of CO₂ emissions each year.
This acquisition strengthens Verdant Energy’s growing footprint in Vietnam. It reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering scalable clean energy solutions that help businesses reduce operating costs, cut emissions, and achieve their sustainability goals.
Verdant Energy completed the acquisition in close collaboration with Norsk Renewables, Norfund, and Finnfund—valued partners whose expertise and commitment played a pivotal role in the transaction. The deal not only expands Verdant’s operational capacity in Vietnam but also diversifies its customer base, positioning the company to serve a broader range of commercial energy consumers beyond the industrial sector.
With this acquisition, Verdant Energy continues to accelerate its mission to support the green transformation of Asia’s emerging economies—driving measurable impact through innovative solar infrastructure and long-term partnerships.
