Power Transmission and Distribution (T&D) EPC company Bajel Projects, a Bajaj Group company, has announced that it has bagged a major order worth between INR 200-300 crore for the Bellary-Davanagere transmission line Package TL01 comprising the 2nd 400kV (Quad) D/c transmission line.
The order forms part of the larger transmission system strengthening initiative for the integration of additional renewable energy potential of 0.25 GW at Davanagere and 2.75 GW at Bellary a critical link in evacuating renewable power into the national grid, stated the company.
It further added that the project involves the construction of a 70 kms 400kV (Quad) D/c transmission line connecting Bellary Substation to Davanagere Substation.
Commenting on the order win, Rajesh Ganesh, Managing Director and CEO, Bajel Projects, said, “This Major order win is a strong endorsement of Bajel’s execution credentials in high-voltage transmission and our continued alignment with India’s energy transition priorities. The Bellary-Davanagere corridor is a central transmission system for the evacuation of renewable power from critical solar and wind zones in Karnataka.”
With this addition, Bajel continues to deepen its 400kV and above order book, highlighting the Company’s engineering capability, execution discipline, and readiness to deliver mission-critical transmission infrastructure at scale, stated the company.
