Hoymiles Power Electronics, a smart solar and energy storage solutions provider, has announced that its HINV350HX-G2 (350 kW) string inverters have been deployed in a recently commissioned 5.5 MW solar power project in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan.

Developed under the PM KUSUM Yojana, the project was installed by Jaipur-based EPC company Puregrid Renewables and aims to strengthen decentralised solar generation and rural energy security, supporting farmers and local communities with reliable and sustainable electricity.

A total of 14 Hoymiles 350 kW string inverters have been installed at the site, which were supplied by Hoymiles’ authorised distributor Sun Solista.

The HINV350HX-G2 inverters feature six 75-amp maximum power point trackers (MPPTs) and are compatible with 182 mm and 210 mm photovoltaic modules, allowing greater flexibility in system design. The inverters offer maximum efficiency of 99.05 percent and EU efficiency of 98.8 percent, helping optimise energy output from the plant, the company stated.

It further added that designed for harsh environmental conditions such as those found in Rajasthan, the systems come with IP66 protection, C5 anti-corrosion capability, and a short-circuit ratio (SCR) of ≥1.1 to ensure stable and durable performance.

Sanjay Jhajharia, Director, Puregrid Renewables, said, “Before selecting and deploying Hoymiles inverters for the project, we conducted detailed research and received very positive feedback, which led us to choose their solutions. During the installation and commissioning phases, the Hoymiles team provided strong technical support. Based on this experience, we look forward to executing many more projects with Hoymiles in the future.”

The project also integrates broadband powerline communication and reactive power control, enabling fast response to grid signals, an important requirement in regions with high solar penetration and challenging climate conditions.

Monitoring and performance optimisation are supported through S-Miles Cloud, which provides real-time visibility into system generation and operational data to maximise energy yield and maintain system reliability, stated Hoymiles.
