Ingeteam has supplied its solar and battery storage power conversion technology for projects across Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia, totalling approximately 65 MW of power capacity and 130 MWh of battery storage. The projects include standalone Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and DC-coupled solar-plus-storage installations, with Jinko ESS acting as the BESS integrator.
The standalone BESS installations use Ingeteam’s INGECON SUN STORAGE FSK C-Series HV solution, rated at 4.986 MVA AC. Each installation incorporates two inverters on a single skid, providing a compact configuration designed for efficient operation and compliance with grid requirements.
The DC-coupled hybrid projects combine a central PV inverter with 16 DC-DC buck-boost converters at each site. This configuration integrates solar generation and battery storage through a shared power conversion system.
“We are proud to support these projects with our solar and battery storage power conversion technology,” said Jorge Guillen, Head of Sales for PV and Storage at Ingeteam Australia. “Our ongoing collaboration with Jinko ESS reflects their confidence in our technology and local team. We look forward to building on this work through future battery storage and hybrid projects.”
Ingeteam has operated in Australia for more than a decade through its subsidiary in North Wollongong. Its local team provides service and technical support for solar and battery storage projects, contributing to the country’s energy transition.
