Kalpa Power, one of India’s leading energy management companies, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pace Digitek’s subsidiary, Lineage Power at the 12th India Energy Storage Week (IESW) 2026. Under the agreement, Lineage Power will prioritise Kalpa Power for the 100 MWh of BESS capacity manufactured at its facilities, giving Kalpa a committed, ring-fenced supply line to feed WATTBANK, its productized battery energy storage service.
The agreement strengthens Kalpa Power’s ability to execute at pace. As India’s BESS pipeline accelerates through 2026, priority, contracted access to manufactured capacity is becoming a meaningful differentiator for EPC and storage integration players particularly for C&I customers, who work to tighter delivery timelines than utility-scale developers. With 100 MWh of priority capacity secured from Lineage Power, Kalpa Power is among a small set of companies with this kind of standing arrangement with a domestic BESS manufacturer, giving it greater supply assurance, supporting faster, more predictable project delivery for its customers.
Commenting on the partnership, Rounak Muthiyan, Founder and Director, Kalpa Power, said, “India’s energy transition is entering its next phase, where storage will become as important as generation. Maharashtra has taken a progressive step by creating a policy framework that recognises the role of storage, and we believe many states will follow a similar direction. But policy alone won’t move projects forward. Securing 100 MWh of priority battery capacity from Lineage Power means strengthening the WATTBANK ecosystem and gives us the confidence to scale WATTBANK deployments significantly as we work towards deploying 500 MWh of battery storage capacity by 2028.”
The partnership reflects Kalpa Power’s broader renewable-plus-storage strategy, as the company works toward scaling from its current renewable capacity to a target of 5 GW by 2030. With nearly 80 MWh of Battery Energy Storage capacity already under deployment across multiple projects, Kalpa Power is rapidly building its storage portfolio and aims to deploy 500 MWh of deployed BESS capacity by 2028. The secured battery capacity will support WATTBANK deployments across rooftop solar, open access projects and hybrid renewable energy systems, enabling industries to access reliable, dispatchable and cost-optimised clean energy.
