Kazam and HPCL join hands to expand India’s public EV charging network with over 5,350 integrated chargers

Electric mobility platform Kazam announced a strategic partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) to expand the public EV charging infrastructure across India. Under the agreement, over 5,350 HPCL chargers, including 3,043 DC fast chargers, are being integrated into Kazam’s platform using its Open Charge Point Interface (OCPI)–powered system.

Paras Shah, COO, Kazam, said, “Kazam’s OCPI platform will enable seamless aggregation and real‑time visibility of HPCL chargers, allowing EV users to locate, navigate, and charge easily”.

By integrating with Kazam’s platform, HPCL aims to facilitate easier access and dependable operations, supporting the Government of India’s PM eDrive programme and advancing cleaner transportation. Kushal Kumar Banerjee, Chief General Manager, HPCL, stated this objective.

Beyond increased visibility, Kazam’s OCPI platform offers interoperability across charging protocols and provides real‑time backend monitoring for charge point operators (CPOs) and e‑mobility service providers (eMSPs), thereby ensuring network reliability and scale.
