KP Group, a leading Indian conglomerate with a strong presence in renewable energy, solar power, green hydrogen and sustainable development, has led a high-level Indian industry delegation to Saudi Arabia as part of a strategic initiative to deepen bilateral investment, industrial cooperation and trade ties between the two nations.

The delegation was headed by Dr. Faruk G. Patel, Chairman and Managing Director, KP Group. The visit is aimed at exploring new avenues of collaboration in investment, energy, green technology and other key economic sectors between India and Saudi Arabia.

The delegation was received in Riyadh by Dr. Suhel Khan, Ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia, who welcomed the Indian industrialists and held detailed discussions on the rapidly strengthening economic relationship and emerging trade opportunities between the two countries. According to the Indian Embassy in Riyadh, the meeting placed particular emphasis on business-to-business (B2B) partnerships, investment collaboration and giving fresh momentum to long-term economic ties, with both sides agreeing that growing private-sector cooperation would prove mutually beneficial for both economies in the years ahead.

“This visit reaffirms the depth of trust between India and Saudi Arabia and the immense promise our partnership holds for the future. As Saudi Arabia advances its Vision 2030 agenda and India accelerates its own clean energy transition, there is a natural convergence of priorities around renewable energy, green hydrogen and sustainable investment. At KP Group, we see this as a timely opportunity to build meaningful, long-term collaborations that go beyond trade, partnerships rooted in shared ambition for a greener, more resilient future for both our nations,” said Dr. Faruk G. Patel, Chairman and MD, KP Group.

A key area of focus during the visit was ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance)-based investment models, with Hilal ESG Limited working actively to promote sustainability-driven investment between India and Saudi Arabia. Green energy, clean technology and environment-friendly projects are expected to form a core pillar of India-Saudi collaboration in the coming years.

India-Saudi relations, once centred largely around oil and energy trade, have in recent years expanded into defence, investment, the digital economy, startups, fintech, food security, healthcare, tourism and infrastructure. Regular high-level dialogue and meetings of the India-Saudi Strategic Partnership Council have further accelerated this momentum, with active private-sector participation now reinforcing the partnership.

This visit could pave the way for new joint ventures, investment agreements and technology partnerships between Indian and Saudi companies, generating employment, investment and innovation in both countries. With India among the world’s fastest-growing major economies and Saudi Arabia one of West Asia’s most influential markets, deepening bilateral cooperation is expected to open new avenues for regional economic stability and global investment.
