NTPC Group Starts Nokh Solar PV Project, Total Capacity Reaches 80,708 MW

NTPC Group has announced the commencement of commercial operations for a 193 MW segment of its Nokh Solar PV Project in Rajasthan as of June 9, 2025. With this addition, NTPC’s standalone power generation capacity has risen to 59,606 MW, while the total installed capacity of the NTPC Group has reached an impressive 80,708 MW. The Nokh project is a key part of NTPC’s renewable energy expansion strategy and supports India’s national mission to accelerate the transition to clean energy. Developed using domestically manufactured components, this solar project reflects NTPC’s commitment to Aatmanirbhar Bharat and its goal of achieving 60 GW of renewable capacity by 2032.
