Shyam Sel and Power Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited, announced the successful commissioning of an 8.90 MWp Solar Power Project at its manufacturing plant located in Jamuria, West Bengal.

This milestone represents a significant step forward in the group’s ongoing initiatives to transition toward greener energy sources and reduce its environmental footprint across operational facilities.

The project has a total installed capacity of 8.90 MWp, comprising 4.60 MWp developed under the CAPEX model and 4.30 MWp under the OPEX model. Located in Jamuria, West Bengal, the solar installation has been designed primarily for captive power consumption, enabling the facility to optimize operational electricity costs while advancing its sustainability goals through greater integration of clean and renewable energy.
